Joseph Aoun Warns Undermining the Lebanese Army Threatens Stability
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said that campaigns targeting the Lebanese Army and its commander will not affect the institution’s performance, warning that any instability within the military could pose a serious threat to the country’s stability.
The remarks came during a visit by the president to the army headquarters in Yarze, where he met the Minister of Defense, the army commander, and senior military officials. “Let your accomplishments speak for you; what is happening is a passing cloud,” Aoun said.

Army Commander General Rodolphe Haikal stressed that the military would continue to stand against any attempt to trigger internal strife, reaffirming the army’s commitment to maintaining national stability.
