Khamenei: No Tolerance for Aggression, Direct Messages to the United States

In a televised address to the Iranian public, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated that Iran will not tolerate any violation of its airspace. He referred to what he described as the “recent Israeli attack,” emphasizing that it will not be forgotten, particularly given the loss of Iranian lives.

Khamenei asserted that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to defend the country and are supported by both the nation’s institutions and its people. He added that Israel had made a “grave mistake” and would bear the consequences of its actions.

Addressing the position of the United States, Khamenei warned that any American military intervention in the confrontation would be met with a response carrying irreversible consequences. He stressed that the Iranian people will not yield to threats or pressure and will firmly confront any imposed conflict.

He further remarked that those familiar with the nature of the Iranian people avoid using the language of threat, noting that such rhetoric is ineffective. According to Khamenei, U.S. alignment with Israel in this context signals a perceived weakness in Israeli capabilities.

Khamenei also pointed out that the Israeli strike occurred while Iran was engaged in indirect negotiations with Washington, and that there had been no indication of military escalation from the Iranian side at the time.
