UAE Approves the Largest Budget in Its History for 2026

The United Arab Emirates has approved the 2026 federal budget with estimated revenues of AED 92.4 billion (approximately USD 25.17 billion), marking the largest budget in the country’s history. UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, confirmed that the budget maintains a balance between revenues and expenditures.
The Cabinet’s decisions also included the approval of 35 international agreements and memoranda of understanding in the fields of economy and international cooperation. In addition, the government reviewed the results of its export development strategy, which saw UAE exports grow from around AED 470 billion to AED 950 billion between 2019 and 2024, reflecting a 103% increase.

The Vice President noted that the 2026 budget aligns with national strategies aimed at strengthening the economy and advancing sustainable development, with a continued focus on supporting key economic sectors and enhancing the UAE’s position in global trade.
