Marco Rubio: The 21st Century Will Be Defined by U.S.-China Relations

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the 21st century will revolve around the relationship between the United States and China.

Speaking to Salem News Channel on Wednesday, Rubio said, “I believe the history of the 21st century will be shaped by what happens between the United States and China.”

He emphasized that the U.S. must engage with China but also highlighted the need to avoid excessive dependence on it.

Rubio’s remarks come amid the ongoing trade war between the two nations. The administration of President Donald Trump recently raised tariffs on Chinese imports from 10% to 20%, prompting China to retaliate by increasing tariffs on American agricultural products.
