The Ministry of Health Signs Agreement with Turkey to Support and Operate Healthcare Facilities in Syria
The Syrian Ministry of Health signed a cooperation agreement with the Turkish side to support and operate several vital healthcare facilities in Syria. The agreement was signed by Syrian Minister of Health Musab Al Ali and Turkish Minister Kemal Memisoglu.
The agreement includes the operation of the Oncology Hospital in Aleppo, which has a capacity of 150 beds, including 25 intensive care beds, with full equipment to be completed within 180 days. It also covers support for the Dumair Hospital for cardiac surgery in Damascus, equipped with 310 beds and 68 intensive care beds.
The statement confirmed that the agreement is part of a plan to rehabilitate and equip hospitals and develop their infrastructure, aiming to improve the level of healthcare services provided to citizens. The agreement also includes supplying hospitals with the latest medical devices and supporting specialized staff to provide comprehensive services in oncology and cardiac surgery.
