Morocco and Jordan Reach the Arab Cup Final After Impressive Semi-Final Wins
The Arab Cup Final is set after Morocco defeated the UAE convincingly, while Jordan edged past Saudi Arabia in a tightly contested semi-final.
Morocco Book Their Place in the Arab Cup Final
Morocco secured their spot in the Arab Cup Final with a dominant 3–0 victory over the United Arab Emirates in Monday night’s semi-final at Khalifa International Stadium.
Striker Karim El Berkaoui opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a well-placed header, giving Morocco a deserved first-half lead. The UAE responded with a disciplined tactical approach, focusing on compact defending and quick transitions after conceding.
Late Goals Seal Morocco’s Victory
Despite increased pressure from the UAE in the second half, including a close attempt by Bruno de Oliveira that struck the crossbar, Morocco maintained control.
Ashraf El Mahdioui doubled the lead in the 83rd minute, easing pressure on his side, before substitute Abderrazak Hamdallah sealed the result with a third goal in stoppage time (90+1), confirming Morocco’s qualification for the Arab Cup Final.
The UAE will now compete in the third-place playoff match.
Jordan Defeat Saudi Arabia to Set Up Final Clash
Earlier on Monday, Jordan advanced to the Arab Cup Final after defeating Saudi Arabia 1–0 in the other semi-final, played at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha.
Nizar Al-Rashdan scored the decisive goal in the 66th minute, heading home a precise cross from Mahmoud Mardi to break the deadlock.
Intense Battle Until the Final Whistle
The match was marked by strong competition, high intensity, and solid defensive organization from both teams. Drama continued until the final moments, with Saudi Arabia’s Walid Al-Ahmad receiving a red card in the fifth minute of added time after fouling Jordan striker Ali Olwan during a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
With these results, Jordan will face Morocco in a highly anticipated Arab Cup Final to determine the tournament champion.
