Mossad Cell Arrested in Iran: IRGC Unveils Espionage Plot
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the Mossad cell arrested in Iran, consisting of eight individuals captured in Khorasan Province, following precise intelligence operations carried out in coordination with judicial authorities.
Details of the Mossad Cell Arrested in Iran
According to the IRGC statement, the cell had received specialized online training from Israel’s Mossad. Their mission included sending coordinates of vital and sensitive centers in Iran, as well as gathering information about high-ranking Iranian military figures.
The IRGC revealed that the cell was planning to carry out attacks against civilian and military officials and to target and destroy key strategic sites in the city of Mashhad.
Coordinated Intelligence Operation
The statement emphasized that the Mossad cell arrested in Iran was uncovered after continuous and precise surveillance conducted by the IRGC Intelligence Organization in Khorasan Razavi Province, in close coordination with judicial authorities.
During the raid, security forces seized explosives, bombs, booby traps, and raw materials for launching platforms, highlighting the seriousness of the planned operations against Iran’s security.
Context of the Arrest
The IRGC noted that the arrests coincided with recent events known as the “12-Day Sacred Defense”, during which the suspects attempted to send sensitive coordinates and military information to Mossad officers before being captured.
