Poll results: Americans support Biden more than Trump
The results of a public opinion poll conducted by Monmouth University in America showed that the percentage of Americans’ support for President Joe Biden during his first week of presidency reached 54%, which is higher than the level of support for former President Donald Trump at any time during his term.
The poll was conducted from January 21 to 24, 2021 among 809 American adults, the margin of error is 3.5 percentage points.
According to the poll, 61% of Americans are optimistic about the policies Biden will pursue as president, and 35% are pessimistic, and the report recalled, that four years ago, when Trump took office, respondents were more pessimistic, while only 50% expected positive changes.
“President Joe Biden begins his term with the support of the majority of Americans … the current rating of the president is already higher than at any time during the presidency of Donald Trump,” the pollsters said.
