Poor American turnout during Black Friday

Customer traffic at retail stores in the United States, during Black Friday, fell 28.3% from pre-epidemic levels specifically in 2019.
According to preliminary data from analytics and consulting firm Sensormatic Soloshens, Americans have turned more of their spending into online purchases and started shopping early, CNBC reported.
Sensormatic said that customer traffic increased by 47.5% compared to last year’s levels, when many shoppers stayed home because of fears of the epidemic and retailers working fewer hours than usual.
