A tragic Qatari diplomatic convoy accident occurred on a road about 50 kilometers before reaching Sharm El-Sheikh in South Sinai, Egypt, resulting in the deaths of three delegation members and injuries to two others.

The accident involved vehicles escorting the Prime Minister of Qatar, who was en route to attend an official engagement in the Red Sea resort city.

Egyptian media, including TV host Amr Adib on his show “Al-Hekaya”, confirmed the incident and revealed the names of the victims:

Abdullah bin Ghanem Al-Khiyarain
Hassan Al-Jaber
Saud bin Thamer Al-Thani
and Abdullah bin Issa Al-Kuwari, listed among the injured.

Local authorities have opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash, while official statements from the Qatari government are still awaited.
