The Lebanese-Israeli border is witnessing ongoing field escalation, with continued airstrikes and exchange of attacks between the Israeli army and Hezbollah, amid Israeli warnings of continued military operations, and increasing tension in areas of southern Lebanon and the Galilee in northern Israel.

The Lebanese Army announced the death of one of its members as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted the “Kfarman – Al-Khardali” road in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon.
The National News Agency reported that the Israeli warplanes launched a raid on the mentioned road, leading to the soldier’s death, at a time when Israeli attacks on areas of southern Lebanon continue, coinciding with the Israeli army’s announcement of expanding its ground operations in the area.
Series of strikes targeted Tyre
In the context of field operations, southern Lebanon witnessed a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting several towns and areas, including Toulon, Shaqra, Deir Amas, Zafta, and Zibqin, in addition to a strike near the housing complex surrounding the city of Tyre.
Field reports also indicated that an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle near the Al-Amanah station in the town of Al-Bazouriya, while military movements and airstrikes continued in several areas of the south.
Drones and sirens
In response, the Israeli Air Force announced the interception of an “aerial target” in the Masaf area of northern Israel, near the operational area of Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli Home Front Command also reported the activation of sirens in the Masaf, Margaliot, and Shtula areas in the Upper and Western Galilee, after spotting drones and rockets launched from Lebanon.
Channel 12 Israel reported that Hezbollah launched about 15 drones during the past twenty-four hours, indicating that four of them fell inside Israel.
New Israeli statements
This field escalation coincides with an escalation in the Israeli political discourse regarding ongoing operations on the Lebanese front, amid continued cross-border attacks.
Israeli Minister Miki Zohar, close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the war “will not end except by eliminating Hezbollah,” adding that the United States supports this approach, according to his statements.

Informed sources had reported that Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir recommended carrying out strikes targeting sites inside Beirut, in response to drone attacks launched from Lebanon.
According to the same sources, this recommendation came during a meeting of the mini-security cabinet (Kabinett) held by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with senior security officials, where the developments of the ongoing confrontation were discussed.
Information indicates that this approach comes despite international restrictions and pressures, especially from the United States, which have limited the implementation of military operations inside Beirut during the recent period, with the exception of a previous operation targeting a leader of the “Radwan Force.”
