Syria: Israeli Drone Shot Down in Western Daraa Countryside
Local armed groups successfully shot down an Israeli reconnaissance drone in the Yarmouk Valley area of western Daraa countryside, according to the Daraa 24 website on Sunday.
The report confirmed that parts of the targeted Israeli drone fell in open land, with no reported casualties.
Meanwhile, residents of Saida al-Hanout village in southern Quneitra refused food aid and surveys that an Israeli patrol attempted to distribute. The villagers also reaffirmed their rejection of any Israeli military incursions, emphasizing their firm stance against normalization with Israel.
In recent weeks, southern Syrian towns have witnessed increased military escalation, with Israeli forces conducting incursions, demolitions, and airstrikes in Daraa and Quneitra provinces.
Just days ago, Israel bombed the town of Kuwaya in the Yarmouk Basin, resulting in the deaths of five people and triggering displacement among local residents.
