Taiwan: Fire Breaks Out at Maanshan Nuclear Power Plant | Watch the video
Taiwan Power Company announced on Thursday that a fire broke out at the Maanshan Nuclear Power Plant, located in Pingtung County, southern Taiwan. The company confirmed that firefighting teams successfully extinguished the blaze without posing any safety threats.
In an official statement, the company explained that the fire occurred approximately 50 meters away from the nuclear power equipment and did not affect electricity generation.
Initial reports indicated that the fire erupted in a cooling tower adjacent to the plant. Authorities stated that the situation is under control, with no injuries reported.
