Trump death rumors went viral across social media platforms after his name trended on X (formerly Twitter) with the phrase “Trump is dead.” The speculation was fueled by his recent absence from public events and circulating images showing a recurring bruise on his hand, which raised further questions about his health.

Trump’s Response to the Rumors

In a post on his Truth Social platform, the 79-year-old Trump wrote: “I have never felt better in my life,” dismissing speculation about his condition. He also claimed that Washington, D.C. had become “crime-free.”

According to the Daily Mail, Trump was seen on Sunday wearing black pants, a black shirt, and a white USA cap while leaving the White House to head to his golf club in Virginia.

The controversy escalated when Vice President J.D. Vance told USA Today he was ready to assume the presidency in case of a “terrible tragedy,” while insisting that Trump was in “excellent health.”

Further buzz came from The Simpsons creator Matt Groening, who joked during Comic-Con in July that the show’s end could be linked to Trump’s death, sparking more online chatter.

Trump’s Health Background

In July, the White House revealed that Trump had been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after swelling in his legs. Recent bruises on his hand were attributed to “soft tissue irritation from frequent handshakes and aspirin use as part of a cardiovascular preventive program.”

Trump has also survived two assassination attempts during his re-election campaign, adding to concerns about his safety.

Not the First Time

This is not the first instance of Trump death rumors spreading online. In September 2023, hackers compromised Donald Trump Jr.’s X account and posted a false message claiming his father had died and that he would run for president instead.
