U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States is no longer lagging behind Russia and China in the space domain, highlighting that the establishment of the “U.S. Space Force” played a key role in achieving this progress.

Speaking before senior officers of the U.S. Armed Forces at Quantico base, Trump emphasized that the creation of the Space Force was a pivotal step. He noted that selecting qualified personnel from the outset enabled the United States to secure effective dominance in this field after having trailed Beijing and Moscow.

The statement follows Trump’s earlier announcement in May regarding the “Golden Dome” plan, which includes the deployment of space-based weapons as part of the new U.S. defense strategy.
