U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday is the deadline for Iran, adding that the war could end very quickly if Iranians do what they need to do. He indicated that Iran is negotiating in good faith and that negotiators there are “more reasonable now.”

Trump continued: “We are obliterating them in Iran, and if they refuse to surrender, they will have no power plants or bridges left,” affirming that the war is about one thing: “Iran not having nuclear weapons.” He said: “We have completely destroyed the Iranian regime,” adding: “Iran has been obliterated and is incapable of resistance despite possessing some missiles and drones.”

Trump said the Iranian people “feel dismayed when they don’t hear the sound of bombs,” adding that the reason they are not protesting is that “they have been told they will be shot.” He added: “If the Iranian people come out to protest, they will be shot immediately, and the people will fight if they receive weapons.”

Trump said he used harsh language on the Truth Social platform to get his point across, confirming that the message has been received. He added: “If it were up to me, I would have taken Iranian oil,” and continued: “We can leave Iran now, but I want to get the job done.” He said: “If we had not torn up the Iran nuclear deal signed by Obama, Israel would have been finished.”

Trump added: “The American people want us to come home.” He expressed hope that the war would end quickly, noting that Iranians would need 15 years to rebuild what has been destroyed. He said: “When the bombs stop falling on Iran, that means the regime is back there.”
