U.S.-Led Military Operation Targets Over 70 Islamic State Sites in Syria
The US Central Command announced that American forces, alongside units from the Jordanian Armed Forces, carried out a military operation in Syria targeting sites linked to the Islamic State group (commonly known as ISIS), according to an official statement published on the platform “X” during the past hours. The statement said the operation involved airstrikes using precision-guided munitions.

The US Central Command said the strikes hit more than 70 sites in central Syria that it described as linked to the Islamic State group, using more than 100 precision-guided munitions. The statement added that the targets included operational locations and logistical infrastructure used to support the group’s activities.
According to the statement, the operation was conducted as part of ongoing efforts to limit the Islamic State group’s ability to reorganize or carry out activities in the region, without providing additional details on the results of the strikes on the ground.

Participation of the Jordanian Air Force
The statement said that aircraft from the Jordanian Air Force took part in the operation alongside US forces, within the framework of ongoing military cooperation between the two countries. The statement did not report any casualties among the participating forces.
No immediate comment was issued by Syrian authorities regarding the operation. US Central Command said its actions are based on intelligence assessments and coordination with regional partners.
