US Iran talks fail: Israel raises maximum alert

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir ordered raising the army’s alert level to its highest state due to the possibility of resuming war against Iran after the collapse of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

According to military sources, the Israeli army entered organized combat procedures similar to Operations “General Kalami” and “Roaring Lion,” accelerating all planning and execution operations. An order was issued to maintain high readiness in all formations, reduce response times, and close operational gaps.

Informed Israeli sources said that Tel Aviv is preparing to resume war against Iran in parallel with continued military coordination with Washington and the transfer of American weapons to Israel, following the failure of US-Iranian negotiations. The sources added that preparations include launching large-scale strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure and energy sources if fighting resumes.

Israeli minister: We are still at the beginning

In this context, Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that the United States continues to airlift weapons to Israel, indicating ongoing military coordination between the two parties. Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kisch commented on the failed talks between Tehran and Washington, saying: “Whoever thought the negotiations indicated the end of the event was mistaken. We are still at the beginning of a war, and things could go in any direction and any possible path.”

Positions following the failure of negotiations

Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar called on the United States and Iran to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, despite the failure of their talks in Islamabad and the lack of an agreement.

Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance announced that no agreement had been reached with Iran, affirming that Washington “will not compromise on its red lines” and that “the ball is now in Tehran’s court.”

For his part, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf confirmed that his country acted with good faith and will before the negotiations, stating that trust in Washington is non-existent due to experiences from the two previous wars. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei announced that an understanding had been reached with Washington on a number of issues in the Pakistan talks, without achieving an agreement.
