Will Prince Harry Return to Buckingham Palace?

In new remarks by Prince Harry on Friday, during a televised interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the Duke of Sussex announced for the first time his desire to reconcile with his family, stating that there was no benefit in continuing the feud. Harry added that his father, King Charles, had not spoken to him for some time, and he expressed his wish to mend ties with the royal family.  

These statements follow his recent loss in a legal case against the British government, which denied him police protection. Harry emphasized that security concerns were central to his dispute with the royal family, revealing he was shocked by the 2020 decision to reduce his security budget after he and his wife, Meghan, stepped back from their roles within the monarchy.  

Harry explained that while there are many points of disagreement between him and some family members, the issue of security has significantly intensified tensions.  

When asked about the possibility of returning to the United Kingdom, Harry indicated that it would be difficult to achieve this at present, stating, “It’s not safe to bring my children and wife without protection.”
