Yisrael Katz warns Hezbollah of potential military action as disarmament deadline approaches

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said Wednesday that Israel is considering military action in Lebanon if Hezbollah does not disarm by the end of the year, a deadline also highlighted by Washington.

Katz, in remarks reported by Israel’s Channel 7, stated that the security situation along the northern border is at its most stable level in two decades. He added that Tel Aviv will reassess its stance on the maritime border agreement with Lebanon, which he said contains several weaknesses and unresolved issues.

The comments come amid ongoing tensions along the Israel–Lebanon border, continued disputes over maritime demarcation, and mutual security and political concerns between the two sides.
