5 ships leave Ukrainian waters

The Turkish Ministry of Defense revealed that five ships loaded with grain left the Ukrainian ports, as part of a food deal with one of the countries.

And the Turkish military administration published on the Twitter platform a statement saying: “Today morning, five ships loaded with grain left Ukraine, as the transportation continues according to the plan under the control of the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul.”

Where the Joint Coordination Center reported earlier that as of August 31, the total tonnage of grain and other food products exported from three Ukrainian ports amounted to about 1.5 million tons.

It is also reported that on July 22 last, Ukraine and Russia signed in Istanbul two separate agreements with Turkey and the United Nations, on the export of grain and agricultural products through the Black Sea.

The agreement also provides for the export of Ukrainian grain, food and fertilizers through the Black Sea from three ports; The United Nations will also facilitate exports of Russian food and fertilizer, which are being restricted due to Western sanctions.
