A bomb or a missile… What is the true account of Haniyeh’s assassination?

Hamas has denied Israeli claims that the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of its political bureau, was carried out by planting a remotely controlled bomb in his room at the official Iranian guesthouse in Tehran during his visit to attend the inauguration of then-President Masoud Bazeshkian. Hamas described these claims as “a series of lies.”
In a statement, Hamas confirmed that investigations conducted between its security apparatus and Iranian security agencies concluded that the assassination was executed using a guided missile weighing 7.5 kilograms of explosives, which directly targeted his personal phone inside his room.
Hamas reiterated its condemnation of the act, citing it as a violation of Iranian sovereignty.
