A major political change in Israel

Today, Monday, Israel witnessed a political reshuffle at the level of the government’s leadership, including the agreement of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and his Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Lapid’s assumption of prime minister.
Israeli media said that “Bennett agreed with Lapid to dissolve the Knesset and appoint the latter as head of an interim government, after exhausting attempts to achieve stability in the coalition.”
The ruling coalition in Israel suffers from a weak leadership, amid strong opposition in the Knesset from right-wing parties such as the Likud party led by Benjamin Netanyahu, in addition to the widespread increase in security incidents in the settlements.
