A tremor hits Cairo

The stations of the National Seismic Network in Egypt recorded this morning an earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale in Greater Cairo.
The National Institute for Astronomical Research also indicated that the earthquake occurred in the Greater Cairo region, 15 kilometers southwest of the Sixth of October City.
The institute revealed that the earthquake occurred at 9:38 am, at a latitude of 29.85 north, a longitude of 30.77 east, and a depth of 13 km.
The institute indicated that there were no data indicating that citizens felt the earthquake.
The stations of the National Seismological Network of the Institute had recorded an earthquake in the northern Red Sea, 26 km south of Sharm El-Sheikh, on the 27th of last month.
