America may buy fighters if America refuses to sell them

A media report revealed that Turkey may obtain Eurofighter Typhoon fighters as a temporary solution if the United States refuses to sell Ankara F-16s.

According to the newspaper, Turkey may get the “Eurofighter Typhoon” as a temporary solution in the event the United States refuses to provide the “F-16” aircraft.

An unnamed Turkish official also noted that “the Eurofighter Typhoon fighters are very good.” “Of course, if we can’t get the F-16, it could be a temporary option until a local plane arrives in our arsenal,” the official said.

In addition, the United States sent an official notification to Turkey regarding its exclusion from the supply program due to the latest F-35 fighters, Ankara’s purchase of the Russian S-400 air defense systems. Washington canceled the joint memorandum on the “F-35” with Turkey, and signed it with the remaining seven partners in the “F-35” project, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, Denmark, Canada and Norway.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan later announced a US proposal to buy other fighters, but not the fifth generation, but the fourth generation “F-16”. This issue will also be agreed upon in the US Congress, and the State Department is pressing this issue, to convince members of Congress that the deal “serves Washington’s interests.”
