US Envoy’s Statements on Damascus SDF Negotiations Amid Rising Tensions

Military Reinforcements East of Aleppo Amid Efforts to Resume Damascus SDF Negotiations
Tom Barrack, the US Special Envoy to Syria, confirmed that the United States maintains continuous contact with all parties in Syria and is working to calm the situation and prevent escalation.
Barrack added on his X (formerly Twitter) account that the US continues to work toward resuming integration talks between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Barrack’s remarks come as the front line in Deir Hafer, east of Aleppo, experiences rising tensions between the Syrian army and the SDF, following days after clashes in the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsood neighborhoods. The two sides have exchanged accusations over delaying the implementation of the “10 March Agreement,” signed in Damascus last year.
