Earthquake hits Pacific Ocean

On Sunday,

the US Geological Survey detected that a 6.4-magnitude earthquake occurred between the Kingdom of Tonga and the Fiji Islands in the Pacific Ocean, on Sunday.

authority confirmed that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 234 km, 200 km southwest of the city of Haveliloto, and 613.4 km northwest of Suva, the capital of Fiji.

authority indicated that the earthquake, which occurred at exactly 22:28 GMT on Sunday, struck at longitude (177,064) to the west, and a latitude (21,686) to the south.

Tsunami Warning Center in the Pacific Ocean indicated that there were no tsunami warnings or any reports of casualties or damage as a result of the earthquake
