The confrontation between Washington and Tehran enters its fourth week, with escalating strikes targeting vital facilities in Iran and neighboring countries, leading to a surge in oil prices and increasing global economic pressures.

US forces have reinforced their presence in the region with marine units and landing ships, while the administration faces domestic political challenges amid fears of war expansion and its impact on the economy ahead of midterm elections.
