Iranian attack on Dimona: 20 wounded and building fire.. Fire crews search for trapped individuals
Israeli media reported that 20 people were wounded (preliminary toll) in the southern Israeli city of Dimona following an Iranian missile attack, with reports of a direct hit on a building and a fire breaking out at the scene.
Israel’s Channel 12 said the 20 injuries occurred in Dimona, while the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported “initial reports of a direct hit on a building in Dimona.”
A spokesperson for the Israel Fire and Rescue Services in the southern district stated that the damage resulted from a projectile hitting a single-story building, causing a fire at the site and additional injuries in other buildings.
The spokesperson added that fire crews were operating in several locations to extinguish fires, search for trapped individuals, and evacuate residents from fortified areas.
