Iran Announces Global Missile Superiority, Explains Why Tel Aviv Turned to Washington
Mohsen Zangeneh, a member of the Iranian Parliament, announced that the country conducted a successful test two days ago of one of its most advanced intercontinental missiles, noting that this missile had not been tested before. Zangeneh confirmed that Iran’s uranium enrichment program has continued and that the country has not supplied uranium to any adversary despite attacks on its facilities.
Last month, the Iranian Armed Forces conducted tests on several missiles as part of the “Sustainable Power 1404” military exercises. Local media reported that the missile frigate “Jangaveh” and the destroyer “Siblan” launched cruise missiles of the “Nasir” and “Qadir” types, in addition to a coastal anti-ship missile from the “Velayat 2” system, all of which hit their designated surface targets with high precision.
Earlier this month, Parliament member Alaaeddin Boroujerdi stated that Tehran has become one of the world’s major missile powers, noting that Iran’s missile capabilities remained superior despite what he described as media blackout by Israel. He added that this superiority prompted Tel Aviv to request assistance from Washington to end the conflict.
