The Popular Mobilization Forces strengthen security measures on the Iraqi-Syrian border
The Popular Mobilization Commission in Iraq announced the implementation of new field measures along the border strip with Syria, as part of a security plan aimed at tightening border control and preventing potential security breaches.
The commission said in a statement that its 25th Brigade reinforced its field deployments in border areas adjacent to Syria, within security efforts intended to maintain control over the border and support stability in border regions.
It added that the reinforcements included securing a number of sensitive border points in the Trifawi–Hasakah area, with the aim of preventing the infiltration of terrorist elements and limiting illegal activities, as part of a comprehensive security plan that includes supporting security forces and strengthening intelligence and field efforts.
