Rival Military Factions in Tripoli Reach Agreement

Warring military factions in Tripoli have reached a final agreement to cease hostilities and withdraw troops and military vehicles from conflict zones, according to sources cited by RT.

The agreement was concluded during an expanded meeting that brought together representatives of various military and security formations. The sources confirmed that the deal will take effect this evening, with all units expected to return to their official bases under the supervision of neutral forces tasked with ensuring calm.

This development comes as part of ongoing efforts to stabilize the security situation in the Libyan capital, following days of clashes that resulted in human and material losses and raised both domestic and international concern.

Military withdrawals have already begun, including units affiliated with the 444th Combat Brigade and the Deterrence Apparatus for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime. The pullout is being carried out under the supervision of the Independent 53rd Brigade, the National Support Force, and the 166th Battalion, in accordance with the truce agreement.
