Russia’s Grain Harvest in 2025 among the largest in recent history despite weather challenges

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Patrouchev, predicted that 2025 will witness one of the largest grain harvests in Russia’s recent history, noting that early indicators reflect strong performance in the current season. The statement was made during a meeting dedicated to evaluating fieldwork in the agricultural sector.

Patrouchev noted that the amount of stored grain has already exceeded 145 million tons, pointing out that this figure could decrease after cleaning and processing due to weather conditions. Nevertheless, he confirmed that the available data allow for a confident forecast that next year’s harvest will be among the largest in recent decades.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture had announced an estimated harvest of 135 million tons of grain (net weight) for 2025, reflecting continued efforts to enhance production and improve crop management based on available climatic and technical data.
