The ambassador of the Sanaa government of the “Ansar Allah” group in Tehran, Ibrahim al-Dailami, stated that the weapons used by the forces of the group are made in Yemeni, not Iranian, arms factories.
Al-Dailami explained that the group uses Iran’s expertise in the field of missiles and drones, saying: “This is not something we want to hide or consider as a disgrace, and we welcome any country that wants to help us in this regard, whether it is Iran or any other country, and we welcome Iran’s cooperation and experience in this field.” and any other assistance that would thwart the aggression against Yemen.
As for a question about the fact that some countries as well as the United Nations have claimed in reports that Iran is sending weapons to Yemen and that some ships have been confiscated in this regard, Al-Dailami said that the hostile media are doing their best to say that Iran is violating the UN resolution banning the supply of arms to Yemen .
“They are telling a lie in their media that these weapons are made in Iran, and this is nothing more than a lie. All these weapons are manufactured in Yemeni arms factories, and Yemeni forces and specialists work in this field around the clock,” he said.
He also continued, “In fact, they want to condemn Iran for violating UN Security Council Resolution 2216. The resolution ratified under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, and they seek to hold Iran responsible for violating the resolution, forgetting that the first countries to violate the resolution were the United States and Britain. France and Canada are the main violators of this decision by sending weapons to Saudi Arabia.
