Sudanese Air Force Conducts Airstrikes on Rapid Support Forces at Nyala Airport

The Sudanese Air Force carried out precise airstrikes targeting Rapid Support Forces positions in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state, including weapons depots, ammunition, and drone equipment at Nyala Airport and surrounding areas, resulting in their complete destruction, according to military sources.

Sources confirmed that the strikes also targeted several combat vehicles of the Rapid Support Forces, following detailed intelligence operations monitoring supply movements and airlift activities conducted in recent days.

These developments come after the Rapid Support agreed to a U.S. proposal for a humanitarian ceasefire, while the Sudanese army rejected the proposal, indicating its intention to mobilize public support against the paramilitary forces that have controlled parts of western Sudan since the conflict erupted in April 2023.
