Rising tensions in Aleppo countryside: Syrian army, SDF, and Turkish drone strikes

Syrian media reported on Wednesday that the Syrian army continues to send military reinforcements from Latakia province to the Deir Hafer front in eastern Aleppo countryside, with images showing convoys of armed vehicles entering the area.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that factions affiliated with the Syrian government targeted infrastructure in the town of Deir Hafer, including the post office, using artillery and suicide drones, with no casualties reported. The SDF also repelled an attempted infiltration on the axis of Zubeida village, forcing the attackers to withdraw.

The SDF media center added that a Turkish Bayraktar drone targeted an SDF position in Al-Bu’asi village in the countryside of Tabqa, resulting in several injuries who were subsequently treated. Another drone struck the town of Maskana without causing injuries, marking the third Turkish drone strike in one week.
