The Emirates updates the entry routes to its lands

The United Arab Emirates has updated entry procedures into its lands through its various ports.
The National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, and the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, said in a joint statement on Friday evening, that entry procedures had been updated through the country’s ports, and the immediate implementation of the decision had begun.
This update includes allowing UAE citizens to enter the country using the Emirates ID, in addition to allowing citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to enter the UAE using the ID or personal card.
The two bodies also reported that the updated procedures come within the framework of facilitating travel among citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and in support of the state’s strategy aimed at maintaining the health and safety of society and in line with efforts for sustainable recovery and the return of a new normal life.
On Thursday, the Committee for the Management of Emergencies, Crises and Disasters caused by the Corona pandemic in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced the adoption of 100% full capacity return to all commercial, tourist and event sites in the emirate, and the committee also approved the continuity of commitment to wearing a muzzle in closed places.
These measures come as part of the decisions to ease restrictions in line with the continued decrease in the incidence of the emerging coronavirus (Covid-19) in the country.
