Thomas Barrack Calls to Unite Syria and Lebanon… Al-Shar’ Meets Riad Hijab in Doha

U.S. envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack stated that Syria and Lebanon should be united, noting that the two countries represent a remarkable civilization.

Barrack added during a speech at the Doha 2025 Forum that the achievements made in Syria were heroic, emphasizing the importance of supporting and encouraging those responsible for them.

The envoy explained that U.S. President Donald Trump made decisions regarding Syria after thorough consideration and chose to give transitional President Ahmed al-Shar’ the opportunity to implement the relevant policies.

In the same context, the Syrian Presidency announced that transitional President Ahmed al-Shar’ met with former Syrian Prime Minister Riad Hijab in Doha on the sidelines of his participation in the Doha 2025 Forum.
