Serious Risk to Life: Travel Warning for Israelis to Egypt, Jordan, and Turkey

“Real Danger” for Israelis Abroad

The Israeli National Security Council has issued a Travel Warning for Israelis, classifying Egypt (including the Sinai Peninsula), Jordan, and Turkey as high-risk destinations. The advisory emphasized a “serious risk to life” facing Israelis in these countries.

Strict Instructions for Travelers

According to Israel Hayom, the council urged Israelis to exercise maximum caution, avoid wearing or displaying any Jewish or Israeli symbols in public, and refrain from posting content on social media that could reveal military service in the Israeli Defense Forces.

Reasons Behind the Travel Warning for Israelis

The Travel Warning for Israelis noted that the upcoming second anniversary of the October 7 attacks could increase militant activity in the region, raising the likelihood of attacks targeting Israelis abroad.

Timing and Connection to Jewish Holidays

The council highlighted that this warning comes ahead of the major Jewish holidays, a period when international travel by Israelis typically increases, making them more vulnerable to hostile actions.
