The base includes one of the region’s longest runways and serves as a command hub for air operations in Iraq, Syria, and the Gulf.

Kuwait Logistics Bases

In Kuwait, the United States operates several major facilities, including Camp Arifjan, Ali Al Salem Air Base, and Camp Buehring, used as logistical and coordination centers for military operations across the Middle East.

Camp Arifjan serves as the forward headquarters for U.S. Army Central, while Ali Al Salem Air Base supports air operations and reconnaissance missions. Kuwait hosts more than 13,000 U.S. personnel across these facilities.
