U.S. Embassy in Damascus Sends Messages to Syrians for the New Year

The U.S. Embassy in Damascus congratulated Syrians on the occasion of the New Year.

In a post on the “X” platform, the embassy wrote: “As we enter 2025, we stand with the Syrian people and look forward to a brighter future in the coming year. After five decades of the Assad regime’s tyranny, Syrians now have a rare opportunity to rebuild and reshape their country, creating a new society that is freer and more inclusive.”

The embassy emphasized that “the United States is committed to working with Syrians to help them seize this historic opportunity. We wish you and your loved ones peace, hope, and happiness in the coming year. Happy New Year!”
