Warning of a setback in the Americas

The proportion of corona virus infections in the North American continent has risen by about 23 percent over the past week, prompting the Pan American Health Organization to warn of a setback that could hit the continent as on the European continent.
The organization explained that most of the increase was concentrated in North America, where the United States and Canada have high rates of infection.
Central America experienced a 37 percent decline in casualties, while Brazil, Suriname and Venezuela recorded a rise in casualties.
The highest percentage was in Bolivia, where protests were denied access to HIV vaccination centres.
