Today, Saturday, SDF forces kidnapped a number of civilians in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, with the support of the US occupation helicopters.
Local sources told the Syrian Agency that “armed groups from the SDF raided at dawn today, with the support of helicopters belonging to the American occupation forces, the homes of citizens in the village of Al-Izbah in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and kidnapped a number of them and took them to an unknown destination.”
The sources indicated that “the militiamen broke down the doors of some houses, tampered with their contents, and seized some of their owners’ belongings.”
The SDF, backed by the US occupation forces, has recently doubled its operations in the areas it occupies in the Syrian Jazeera, and kidnapped dozens of people and hundreds of young men in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Hasaka and took them to affiliated camps in preparation for fighting in its ranks, according to the sources. Among the militants of Qayd, an explosive device was carried out by the “Popular Factions” that targeted their car on the “Al-Kharafi” road, north of Deir ez-Zor.
And the Syrian News Agency (SANA) quoted local sources, last Monday, as saying that “the SDF immediately summoned additional forces with ambulances, and cordoned off the scene of the explosion, and a number of wounded militants were transferred.”
According to SANA, “the attacks on the headquarters and axes of movement of SDF militants in the Jazira area have taken an escalating trend in recent times, and resulted in many deaths and injuries among their ranks and the destruction of their headquarters and vehicles.”
