Paris Saint-Germain defender and Morocco international Achraf Hakimi has described the ongoing rape allegations against him as the most difficult challenge of his life. In an exclusive interview with Canal Plus, the 25-year-old footballer said the Achraf Hakimi has caused deep pain for him and his family, insisting that the accusations are false.

Achraf Hakimi and Its Impact on His Family

Hakimi revealed his concern for his children, saying: “My kids are still very young. They don’t use the internet yet, but one day they will read these lies about their father. It’s painful, and I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.”

The Moroccan star added that the constant stream of rumors and fabricated reports has left emotional scars, especially for his wife, parents, and children.

Details of the Allegations

In March 2023, Hakimi was formally charged with rape and placed under judicial supervision after a young woman accused him of assaulting her at his home. Later, in August, the public prosecutor in Nanterre requested that the case be referred to the regional criminal court of Hauts-de-Seine.

Hakimi, however, firmly denied the allegations, stating: “I know who I am. I have never done such a thing and never will. I have always cooperated with the police and even requested to present my side of the story. They have my DNA, unlike the person accusing me. Thanks to the police investigation, progress has been made, and I feel more at peace now, hoping the truth will emerge soon.”

Life Changes After the Achraf Hakimi

Hakimi explained that the forced him to rethink his personal relationships: “In football, many people try to exploit us. If you’re not surrounded by the right people, these situations can happen. After what I went through, I changed a lot. My circle is now very small, and I don’t let just anyone in.”

Media Pressure and Reputation Damage

The Moroccan international also criticized the media’s role in amplifying the accusations, saying: “The press has destroyed my image and reputation — the same reputation my family sacrificed so much for. They stained my dignity. I know these accusations are false, but it has been a deep wound for me, my children, and my loved ones.”
