The Palestinian representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, broke down in tears during a United Nations Security Council session dedicated to discussing the situation in Gaza and the conditions faced by the population in the area.

Mansour spoke about images of mothers in Gaza holding the bodies of their children, describing the scenes as “beyond human endurance,” and noting that more than 14 million Palestinians suffer worldwide.

The Palestinian envoy also pointed out that fire and hunger are affecting the children of Palestine, stating, “We do not want our children to live this tragedy,” reiterating the moment associated with his emotional response.
