Russian forces arrive in northern Syria

Russian media announced the arrival of military forces belonging to the Russian Army’s Paratroopers Division to northeastern Syria.

The newspaper reported on the Telegram platform information about Russia’s transfer of the Paratroopers Division to the Qamishli region in Syria.

Syrian local sources revealed the arrival of Russian military paratroopers to the Syrian city of Qamishli, where air activity in that area witnessed the landing of Russian military transport planes that transported more than 500 Russian paratroopers.

According to private sources, the arrival of this military division aims to confront the armed gangs backed by Turkey, which had earlier announced the launch of a military operation in northern Syria.

The page also attached the information with special pictures obtained and said in this regard: “Russian paratroopers have arrived in the Syrian region of Qamishli, where the atmosphere in that region witnessed air activity through the landing of Russian military transport planes that transported more than 500 Russian paratroopers.”

The page added: “According to private sources, the arrival of this military division aims to confront the armed gangs backed by Turkey, which announced earlier the launch of a military operation in northern Syria.”

The Russian forces are also working to reduce the high escalation along the Syrian-Turkish border, especially after the successive statements of the Turkish leadership to launch a military operation against the positions of the “SDF” forces loyal to the US army.
