Alexander Mikheev, director of the state company “Rosauburn Export” for the export and import of military products, said that consultations with Turkey on the supply of a second regiment of S-400 systems have been completed.
Mikheev also mentioned that during these consultations, the financial model for the deal was drawn up and drafted.
Mikheev added, “Final consultations took place, during which the financial model was formed, and a program for technological cooperation was drawn up on this project, so we expect to complete this project in the coming months.”
Last April, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced that Ankara was negotiating with Moscow on the purchase of the second regiment of S-400 air defense systems.
In 2017, Russia signed a contract with the Turkish side on the supply of a regiment of S-400 missile defense systems, and the air defense systems were delivered to the Turkish side in the summer and fall of 2019.
