Hezbollah Official Defines Party’s Position on US Strikes on Iran and Sets a Red Line

Hezbollah Clarifies Its Stance on US Strikes on Iran
A Hezbollah official stated that the party would not intervene militarily if the United States carried out limited strikes on Iran.
The official, who requested anonymity, added that Hezbollah’s position could change if the strikes aimed at toppling the Iranian government or targeting Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
He emphasized that any direct targeting of Khamenei represents a “red line” for the party. The official also noted that if an attack were directed at the Iranian government, Israel would likely respond militarily in Lebanon.

Last month, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General Naim Qassem stated that the party would not remain neutral if a US-Israeli confrontation targeted Iran or any regional front. He added that the nature and timing of Hezbollah’s response would be determined by the circumstances of the situation and the party’s assessment of its interests at the time.
